Are you attracted to being a priest? Perhaps you don't know why this is the case, but thoughts and emotions won't go away?

Are you fearful of being a priest? Does it scare you and cause you to try and think of something else? Do you try to put it to the back of your mind?

Try and shrug it off?

If so, then there is a good chance that God is calling you to be a priest.

Ask any priest and he will tell you that the signs of a vocation to the priesthood are attraction and fear.

For some unknown reason, a young man is deeply attracted to being a priest. At the same time he fears the calling.

All the great biblical figures had these two dominant emotions of attraction and fear.  Abraham, Moses, Elijah, Joseph, Mary - they all displayed, both an intense attraction to do Gods work, yet they naturally feared what was being asked of them. The best thing to do is to pray for light. The right thing to do is to talk to a priest about it.

Any of the priests at the seminary can listen and talk to you. The vocation director of your Diocese would also be good to talk with.
