Seminary 2021 Opening Mass

Seminary 2021 Opening Mass

On Wednesday 3rd February the Most Reverend Anthony Fisher, Archbishop of Sydney, celebrated Mass to open the 2021 Seminary year. We thanked God for all our new first years and their families, as well as the returning seminarians. It happened to be the feast of St. Blaise so we received the blessing of the throat. The Archbishop explained that this has a deep connection to the priesthood as the throat is connected to speech and therefore, connected to proclamation of the gospel. We ask you to please keep us all in your prayers and to take comfort in knowing that we have not forgotten you in ours.
